These two songs were written over a long time. They were written in two cities 3,421 kilometres apart. They were unfinished for a long time because of feeling bad about music and feeling bad about life.

The songs are generally about not belonging anywhere. They are about driving through the desert and feeling so forgotten about that you start to believe that you no longer exist in the physical world. The songs are about communicating with the supernatural world. The songs are about friends and family who don't check if you're OK. The songs are about somehow finding one other person in this hell of a world who would like to spend their whole life with you for some reason.

Both songs were written by Darlene on stolen Wurundjeri, Boonwurrung and Noongar country. I acknowledge First Nations people as the original and continuing caretakers of all land across so called "Australia" and I pay respect to elders past and present.
